Ah the joy of getting a new computer... the joy of losing ALL your files on the last one... the joy of iTunes telling you that you are not authorized to listen to your purchased music becasue you have authorized too many computers already.... the joy of staring at 1.5TB HD that is 94% empty... The joy of trying to remember all your bookmarks... The joy of nearly 5 years of collecting FF doujins and others works gone... The joy of having a computer that is too powerful for its own good... The joy of it all... No idea where to begin...
The last computer had a meltdown after 8 months of being on. Its my own fault. The power supply was going and I never replaced it. It finally went taking the whole thing with it in a little puff of white smoke. The plastic on the HD actually started to melt from the months of heat. The processor choked on dust underneath it though in a space that a human hair could not fit...
But its the simple things that make me happy... I got a new wireless keyboard and mouse with the puter... FAIL!
Oh fortune... I actually went back and FOUND my FFFFs on that Final Fantasty World/Ultima site. LOFUCKINL!

Props must be given. I was pisssed about losing that work the most. The comics I can get back from here I think. The doujins though... 217 of them... GONE! The search continues.
I can always hook you back up with the ffxi ones, small consolation I guess. Didn't you have a gallery up someplace with some uploaded or did you close all them out?
ReplyDeleteThose were on Imagefap a long time ago. I moved them to another german site. That too went under. Was a very small site. I just kept collecting them in hopes of one day uploading them some where...
ReplyDeleteStill i found a snap shot of 200 of them from here (when I reached that mark) so at least i have there correct names and can search them by that. Ill get around to it some time.
Right so anyway... have some time on my hands this weekend. Gonna start the rebuild process with the doujins... I hope. :/ The pictures will take some time, i was very picky on those. Had only 300 or so, but still...
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, iTunes and apple are giving a hard time. I cant get anything to work because Ive authorized too many computers over the years. They are telling me that I have to deauthorize those computers on those computers. Yet i tell them, those computers do not work anymore. Why cant you simply wipe them from my account and just authorize the one i have... cant because that would make the music tied (authorized) to those machines useless, thus over 3 gbs of songs I do have from itunes... before i discoverd other more "cheaper" sites,.... utterly useless! I dont know... Ill see what happens with this. They sent me back another ticket number... that was 3 days ago. Need to find my ipod cracker and see if that still works...
Upon further thought... Ive been trolling through that FFW site for any info I can get back from there... havent found nothing. :/ Some quick laughs of the shit weve talked about through the years. Which did remind me of something. Kohki, you did recommend a picture hosting site. I cant recall what it was though. It wasnt imagefap or file fap. I think it was hosted in Germany... at least according to firefox add on, flag fox. Any clue what it might be.

No I don't have any of it saved lol. Unless SG has it on his desktop they may be lost. That image host site I recommended to you went offline about a year and a half back so that's no help sorry.
